Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.

Heavy Creosote Removal in a Buckhead Fireplace
Before
AfterThe homeowner hadn’t used the fireplace in two years and wanted to start again. When we scoped it, the flue had a quarter-inch glaze of creosote, the tar like buildup that causes chimney fires. We ran a full mechanical sweep with a rotary loop system, then followed with a Level 1 camera inspection. The result: flue walls back to bare clay tile, safe for the first fire that same evening.
Smoky Fireplace Diagnosis in Decatur
Before
AfterA Decatur homeowner called because every fire pushed smoke into the living room, even with the damper wide open. The camera showed a bird’s nest wedged about twelve feet down from the cap, partially blocking the flue. We removed the nest, swept the full length, and installed a proper chimney cap with mesh sides. Smoke drafts cleanly now, and the cap keeps out future tenants.
Wood Stove Flue in East Atlanta Village
Before
AfterWood stoves burn cooler than open fireplaces, which means creosote condenses faster, especially in Atlanta’s humid winters. This East Atlanta Village stove hadn’t been swept in five seasons, and the connector pipe was packed with flaky creosote. We brushed everything from the stove collar to the cap, then confirmed with a camera that nothing remained. The homeowner told us the stove draws noticeably better on the first burn.
Gas Fireplace Deep Clean in Sandy Springs

Gas fireplaces need cleaning too, just not for creosote. This Sandy Springs unit had three years of white mineral film on the glass and enough soot on the ceramic logs to mute the flame pattern. We removed the log set, cleaned each piece individually, cleared the burner ports, and polished the interior glass with a gas fireplace specific cleaner. The flame looks crisp again, and the homeowner said it looks better than the day they moved in.
Chimney Cap Replacement in Roswell

The original cap on this Roswell chimney had rusted through in two places, letting rain and debris fall straight into the flue. We pulled the old cap, inspected the top of the flue for water damage, and installed a new stainless steel cap from Copperfield, one of the trade brands we carry. The flue now stays dry between sweeps, and the homeowner doesn’t hear loose metal rattling on windy nights.
Chimney Liner Resurfacing in Norcross

Our camera inspection found spalling, flaking clay tile in this Norcross chimney. Not severe enough to require a full liner replacement, but enough that exhaust gases could leak into the home. We resurfaced the damaged sections using HeatShield, a ceramic coating specified by chimney professionals, and showed the homeowner the before and after footage. The flue is sealed and smooth now, with no exposed cracks.
